Ready to Simplify your Dutch Taxes?

  • Yes. The United States is one of the few countries that taxes people according to where they live. Even if you do not owe any taxes due to tax treaties, you are required to file a federal return each year.

  • It is a tax advantage for highly skilled immigrants who come to the Netherlands for a specific job. If you receive it, 30% of your gross salary will be tax-free. We can determine whether you meet the requirements for salary and skills.

  • The letter "M" stands for moving. You must file a specific, often lengthy tax return for the year you moved to (or left) the Netherlands. You can't file it online with the regular DigiD app; we handle the complicated filing for you.

  • Not usually. This is not the case due to the United States-Netherlands Tax Treaty. We use tools like the Foreign Earned Income Exclusion and Foreign Tax Credits to ensure that you don't pay taxes on the same money twice.

  • No. The Dutch deadline is May 1st. The standard US deadline is April 15th, but expats living abroad receive an automatic extension until June 15th. However, if you owe US taxes, interest will continue to accrue beginning on April 15th.
